Tips When Buying Jeans!
Purchasing a pair of jeans may be complicated at times. Slim, slim/straight, straight, relaxed, relaxed/straight, classic, boot cut – how many styles are there? Jeans have truly become the staple of every man’s wardrobe. Jeans are very popular due to their versatility. They can be used for casual settings, a night out on the town, or the workplace.
Whether you are looking for jeans to lounge around the house, hit up the town, or for work; we recommend sticking with timeless styles. This is especially important if you are looking to purchase a premium pair of denim, with a high price tag. The last thing any man should do is spend a large amount of money on a pair of jeans that will be out of style in the near future. With this in mind we recommend the following: original blue jeans, slightly faded blue jeans, and dark denim. We feel that every guy should have a pair of each of these three examples. Some guys do not like dark denim, but it is truly an important piece in any man’s wardrobe. A nice pair of dark denim is perfect for the workplace or a night out, whether you are throwing on a blazer with a button down or throwing on a t-shirt and leather jacket; you can’t go wrong.
Choosing the different types of washes is just half the battle, so how about the fits? We always recommend that our customers try new things, even if it is slightly out of their comfort zone. With that being said, we are not saying going from relaxed fit jeans to skinny jeans. Instead, if you always wear relaxed fit jeans, try a pair of straight leg. Straight leg and boot cut is truly a safe bet, as they are the most versatile of all the fits. The most important factor to consider when looking for the right pair of jeans, is to make sure that they fit right (e.g. legs, crotch, waist). Lastly, be sure not to dry your jeans in the dryer. Nothing is worse than finding a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly, that end up being high waters on you after they are put in the dryer. We recommend hanging them to dry oppose to using a dryer machine. It is also smart to buy a slightly longer length in jeans if they are not already preshrunk.
