THE PROPER WAY TO WEAR A TIE

THE PROPER WAY TO WEAR A TIE

One of the most common thing among guy’s wardrobes is their lack of ties. Every man should have a decent set of ties. By having many options to choose from allows you to have a tie for every occasion. Wearing a tie can help your outfit pop and make the difference of turning heads when you walk in a room. We will be giving you 6 tips on the proper way to wear a tie.

1.  A TIGHT KNOT WILL GIVE YOU A TIGHT LOOK

When making a tie be sure to make the knot just right. If the tie is too loose you will find yourself having to refit the knot every time you move your neck or head. Also make sure not to over tighten the knot as it can damage the fabric of your tie. Make sure the knot has the right amount of tension to it; otherwise, you will need to constantly refit the knot every time you move your head. You shouldn’t overdo it though, or you will risk stretching and damaging the fabric.

2. KEEP THE TAIL OF THE TIE SHORTER

Nothing looks worse then having a tie that the tail part of the tie is visible because its too long. We all know its a pain at times getting the tie length just right but its worth the time. While making the tie be aware that if you create a bigger knot, like the Windsor Knot, it will need more fabric to complete the knot, so the wide part of the tie should be longer and the tail should be shorter. At the end the tip of the wide end of the tie should sit right in the center of your belt.
